In the past year I have been building my sketchnoting skills by experimenting with animation and by using it in events and workshops (scribing). Here’s some examples of this:

The feedback I have been receiving from the participants is that having a scriber provides for an engaging and collaborative environment.

The main benefits of having a scriber in a workshop are:

  • Connections – you are able to see the connections between ideas thrown in at different stages of the workshop. These connections add value and provide a different way of viewing a subject / problem.
  • Collaborative – Because the picture on the wall is a reflection of the input participants give, they will leave with a sense of ownership and collaboration
  • Excitement – participants generally express their excitement and take pictures to share it across their organisation
